Q. How long does it take to complete your course(s)? Do I have to finish it all in one sitting?
Our course(s) is designed to let you work at your own learning pace and schedule! The average completion time for our course(s) is 1 to 2 hours. The best part is that the course(s) does not have to be completed all in one sitting. You can log out and log back into the course at anytime. You will also have unlimited access to the course material for 60 DAYS from the date of purchase (a small fee may be applicable to unlock a course quiz after these 60 days; refer to Terms of Service).
Q. How are your instructors trained?
Designed by industry experts, our online course utilizes interactive multimedia and advanced learning techniques to assist healthcare professionals in comprehending and applying the most cutting-edge methods. Our instructors hold valid certification from the American Heart Association. The instructors develop the course curriculum, quiz, and the material presented in the video demonstrations. Our instructors are also available for any questions or further clarification about the classes we offer.
Q. How long will it take to receive my wallet certification card?
You will be able to print your wallet certification card immediately after passing the quiz. Please allow 5-7 business days for your mail in certification card to arrive.
Q. What if I don’t pass the quiz at the end of the course?
We truly believe that you will be prepared for the quiz after reviewing our comprehensive course material. However, the final quiz can be taken as many times as needed to pass with a 75% or better, with no additional charge. Remember that all the true/false and multiple-choice questions are pulled from the course material, so you can re-review the curriculum if you don’t pass the first time.
Q. Does your course require an outside hands-on or skills test?
No. Our interactive training includes step-by-step video demonstrations and detailed illustrations that allow you to practice along at your own pace. This training method will cover and build the skills required to perform CPR, execute basic First Aid procedures, and know how to react when you come into contact with blood. You will be certified upon successfully completing our comprehensive online quiz.
Q. Do you offer Group Rates?
Yes, we have a renowned group program for groups starting with 5 individuals to larger, corporate group accounts. As the group size increases, we offer a better discount! The group account set up process is simple. Our program allows each individual to register and complete the course at his/her own pace and schedule. The group owner, or individual organizing the account, will also have access to various tools to track the group’s progress.
Q. How much do your courses cost?
Our CPR and First Aid courses each cost $14.95. We have two special combo courses that combines CPR and First Aid for $35.95. The price per course includes continued access to all course material, an immediate soft copy of your wallet certification card (once you pass the course), and a mailed, hard copy of the wallet card.
Q. What happens once I have taken the American Health Care Academy’s online course(s)?
After you pass the quiz, you will be able to print out your wallet certification card immediately. If you complete the CPR, Healthcare Provider CPR/AED, or First Aid course you will be certified for 2 years from the issue date. The Bloodborne Pathogens course will be valid for 1 year from issuance date. Upon completion we believe that you will be prepared to confidently act in an emergency situation.
Q. How long are your courses good for?
Our CPR/AED, Healthcare Provider CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are valid for 2 years from the date your wallet certification card is issued. The Bloodborne Pathogens course is valid for 1 year form issuance date.
Q. Is your certification accepted by my state/employer?
Certification requirements can be different for various states, institutions, and employers. Our online courses offer the flexibility and convenience of learning from anywhere, anytime. Q. What are my choices for a method of payment?
Our automated, secured system is designed to accept credit and debit cards. Any card information provided is not stored in our system. The information travels through a secured channel and our gateway to our merchant service bank account. We do not accept personal checks or money orders, unless it involves a lump sum group payment.
Q. How do I print my certification once I have passed?
Once you pass our online CPR certification or First Aid course you should be able to print your certification right away. However, if you come back at a later time to print your certification, you will first need to login using your user name and password at
Q. What is an AED?
AED stands for automated external defibrillator. An AED is a small electronic portable device, which automatically diagnoses and treats life-threatening ventricular fibrillation or quivering of the heart. With the use of an AED, the heart is able to re-establish a normal, effective heart rhythm. In our CPR/AED certification course you will watch a video that explains the basics of an AED device.
Q. Who needs to take a Bloodborne Pathogens course?
Generally, a bloodborne pathogens course may be required by anyone who can come into contact with blood at the workplace. This course is intended for individuals who need OSHA compliant training, including: health care providers, tattoo artists, teachers, day care workers, housekeeping personnel and general workplace employees. Our course follows all OSHA standard guidelines and is Nationally Accepted.
